I'm from wisconsin and in the minority of not being a packer fan, but I can tell you one thing all those packers fans are not just from wisconsin. That team has fans every where. Agreed crowds are much higher than normal, today will be worse. Rose, Rodman, Alomar, and Matthews today for me.
Also stay tuned tonight for my story tonight on my most successful autograph catch I ever had yesterday morning. Two letters to tease you M.J.

I got my Rodman and Pippen jerseys done. Both turned out real nice. I'm always nervous with Rodman but he signed it perfect.
Pippen wasn't too friendly, but he added HOF 10 on mine without me asking. I feel bad for all the folks that had paid $99 for the same thing, and from what I saw, most people did pay the extra money to get their piece inscribed.

I tried for Rodman twice. First 16 he smudged. I went and complained about it so they gave me another autograph ticket. He smudged the second one as well. They ended up refunding me for the autograph and the PSA and let me keep both of the smudged photos. Don't really understand why a guy would wear gloves while he is signing autographs.
That sucks. I really think these shows are a joke. Most of these athletes don't get, or care about the fact that we pay a LOT of money to have them sign something. It's apparent that the handlers at the tables don't bother, or maybe they're scared to say something along the lines of, please take your time, and try not to ruin the items they're signing. The idiot taking items in Pippen's line was basically yelling at people to hurry up. I paid $200 for him to sign my jersey. For that price I expect to be able to hand my jersey to Pippen, have him sign it exactly where I request, and have him use my Deco, not the one drying out on the table. I understand them not wanting every single person to pose for a picture, even though for the price they should definitely allow it. But for them to be jerks once you're at the table is complete garbage. I got lucky today with both jerseys, but whenever I go to this thing, I anticipate something getting screwed up due to the incompetence of the people working the table. To be fair, some of them are good, and are friendly, but there are too many that don't give a crap about the money we paid.
Also, the fact that I could have sat at home last night forging signatures of every athlete appearing at the show, then walk up to the PSA/DNA table to pay 8 bucks and have them throw a sticker on every fake is just another example of what a load of crap this whole authentication business is. I had a Pippen and Rodman ball signed a few years back, and if I wanted to, I could have brought them with, paid a few bucks and had them authenticated without them even taking a look at them, just assuming I had just had them signed. I don't sell autos, so I typically don't care to have them authenticated, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out, and I guarantee you this was done this weekend and is done at every show of this fashion. I'd be really curious what the response would be on this from someone inside PSA/DNA, Tristar, or any other authentication companies.

The problem with Rodman wasn't Dennis it was the A-hole with him and behind him that kept talking to him as he was signing. He signed my basketball practically without even looking at it. Came out great but stosh your right it's the idiots handling him, and I think they are his guys not mounted guys. Thats what they need to do is have their people working the tables, not the hangers on.

went all 3 days. we can all agree that they need to change the entrance and exits. have the people exit the autograph area from behind the table after they get there signatures. then you would have to re enter to get another player with the proper number. ive seen this at tri star shows and chantilly shows, works great. also need more ticket number checkers, at the initial entrance and again at the individual lines, not volunteers who are worried about other things. also need the police on duty to controll the crowded areas rather than getting sigs behind the tables and in the back. i didnt see many on duty police officers for the amount of people in that area this weekend. the only line i went through where the handler wanted to take my item was ditka. i never give it up, no exceptions. told the guy ill handle it, turned out. roberto alomars guy said no autograph unless he hologramed the item, had it put on the back. extra nice guys i got were, rickey henderson, steve bedrosian, bert blyleven, donald driver,desmond bishop, james starks, bj raji, jim palmer,kellen winslow, tim raines, sam shields. tom seaver signed mine half in the dark spot, after i told him where. bought a rickey henderson ticket from a vip guy friday night for $40, was able to get an 11x14 done for flats and balls ticket. roberto alomar put hof on both photos when i only bought 1 inscr ticket. this was the biggest crowd ive seen at a suntimes show, ive been going since the late 80's.
Drove out to Chicago for the weekend.
Enjoyed watching them put "environmentally safe" dye in the river on Saturday and also enjoyed some "environmentally safe" green beer along the way.
Made it out the show today. Got there at about 9:30am and the line to get in was way long. Made it in and was able to pick up my will-call tickets. Then I had to stand in line for 15-20 minutes to buy my Pippen inscriptions and an Alomar ticket. I was suprised when I got #278 for an Alomar premium. He must have sold really well!
My first guest of the day was Charlie Joiner. I didn't buy the VIP but rather 3 tickets for Joiner and had numbers 5, 6, 7. It was about 10:20 and the line was huge long. I asked several workers if I had to stand in that line even though I had purchased tickets and they all told me yes. How much sense does that make? I actually paid for tickets and had to wait in line about an hour before I finally got to Charlie. SMH on that one.
Next up was Rodman. After they got done interviewing him. And after the dude behind him holding up the line so he could tell Dennis stories. They finally called numbers 1-25. It was a really slow process. I had numbers 4 and 5. As I was standing in a line that was not moving I noticed that there was nobody in the Roberto Alomar line. So I hopped in to his line. Got my bat done with my #278 ticket and was on my way. Roberto was really nice and took his time.
So I got back in line for Rodman and it was the slowest moving line of all time. Anyways, I got up to the table and he signed my 16x20 where I wanted and my Jersey in a dying silver deco that the cap was left off most of the morning. He wasn't even looking at the items as he was signing he was more interested in talking to the guy behind him. BJ Armstrong was there for some reason. Somebody asked him why he wasn't signing and Dennis mumbled something like "He's too smart to be doing this sh*t" or something to that effect.
After driving home I realized that Dennis had smeared my 16 a bit. A bit upsetting because I stared at it before I left the table and didn't catch it. But his signature is such a mess to begin with.
Next it was over to the train wreck production line that was Scottie Pippen. Dude was a machine. Only person that was worse was when Peyton Manning was there a few years back. I was 3-4 back from the table and the handler out in front of my table was yelling at me that he needed my items. I handed him my ball and tried to hold my jersey back. Unfortunately he called me out on that as well. By the time I got to the table my items were already in the other handlers hand and he was giving them back to me. Absolutely no interaction with Scottie. Not a pic of my item being signed. Nothing. At least he gave a good graph but for the money I would've at least like to shake his hand or something. Although, he had a blue and black sharpie in one hand and his silver deco in the other.
Overall it was a large crowd. I think the Dallas Cowboys reunion show was a bit more chaotic. Although I was out of there by 1pm and most of the Packers guys weren't there yet. Not sure how that went.
