I just noticed this on another web site:
January 12 and 13 Iowa cubs fest

Bruce Sutter 30$
Sparky Anderson 30$
Andre Dawson 20$
Tony Perez 25 $
Harmon Killebrew 30$
and (drum roll please) DEION SANDERS for 55$

details on iowacubs.com

Interesting pricing on the Neon Deion! Always like him and collected his baseball and football cards...but not enough for 55! I would rather have a couple of any of the other ones for that!

geez thats pretty pricey....i'm a card collector and I'm always amazed at how much these shows want....

Cut those in half and I might want one for all of them except Deion...$27.50 is still too much for him haha maybe $20...what an ego these guys and promoters have to overprice time and autographs like this

I gotta jump in here. The I-Cubs keep their prices low compared to the tristars of the world. At most shows sutter would be at least $50 and so would killebrew. Deion probably gets around $100 at every other signing he does. The rest of guys would be at least $40 also.

I think the I-cubs probably do not make a dime on these signings.

I'm sure they don't make a dime on these guys. And yeah they are cheaper than Tristar and all the other ones. I don't find the prices all that bad....but i just find it incredible that DEION is more than the hall of famers on the list. Seems Deion is STILL Neon and Primetime and still thinks he is "all that". I really wonder how he still fits his head thru doors!

LOL...That's nothing...I was looking over signingshotline.com last night and found some prices that were NUTS. At the same show you had Nick Markakis for $49.00 a flat item???? Or at the NJ No Hitter show they have Don Werner for $18.00???? I understand that Tom Seaver will be there, and Werner Caught his No hitter, but the guy BARELY was in the bigs, and he was a AA Manager last year and signs for free no problem. How many wil the Promoter sell for $18.00? I can't even remember the last time I went to a show for a graph, I was put off by the pricing 10-15 years ago, and it's just gotten worse. (Dating myself) I remeber a few of us complaing at the National Pastime Show 20+ Years ago about why Dimaggio was Charging $8.00 a graph what Mantle, Mays, Aaron, etc only wanted $4.00. We thought it was insane Pricing so I only got a few. Guess It's all a matter of perspective. If a player makes 5 Million a year, how do we really expect him to sit and sign autographs for a fraction of his rate??? If the player alone Makes $50.00 a graph and can sign 100 an hour that is $5000.00 an hour. I know for a fact no "Star" sould even think about an appearance for only 5G's. Ok... I'm starting to sound like an old codger. See you all at the ball park, where we can complain about them not signing for free...lol

Sparky and The Hawk will sign basically anything for free TTM, but I'm sure most people outside of these boards don't know that.

Those are actually great prices. Remember, there are Travel Costs involved, plus Players Fees and so on. I also think we need to remember that TTM is not the same as IP. That is unless the player hand delvers you letter.

The Deion pricing brings up an interesting question. Sanders is definately not a baseball HOFer, but will he make Canton if he ever retires long enough? Was he really that good numberswise? I don't have an opinion personally, but I have heard people say he was the best coverage corner in the league and a great return specialist as well.

What has been most disappointing about the I-Cubs fest is the lack of minor league players they invite. Granted Iowa isn't California or Florida, but there are some good local players that either aren't invited or don't show up. They usually have 3 to 5, but I think they could get more if they really tried.
