Sorry, did not mean to tread on your space. I did do a search and could not find the address. If I had saw Mysel address posted under smatt's successes, then I would not have bothered you at all. I just figured you specialized in retired minor leaguers and could help. Sorry!!!

i found everett while reading an article on amaericas top 50 young african american buisnessmen...aperently hes like #3 at Pfizer and doing quite well for himself...he said he was looking for extras of his cards
i'm been trying to track the plymp down for 10 years...i last got him in 1993 durning the stoughton JCC celeberty 3 point shootout...once the red sox released him he just totally disapeared...saw him a couple times at pawsox games, but never had my cards handy...finally found him by typing red sox jeff plympton in google...found a article about mass natives who played for the red sox and what they are doing now

Wow, I did not realize someone would be bothered by my posting successes that come directly from graveline's addys (which would help confirm which addresses are still valid), or of other players whose addys are not posted on the board.

Success today from the 1995 Upper Deck Minor League.
Deshawn Warren (8/9)
Think the cards must've just stuck together. Sent back with a note saying "Thanks for making my day". Pretty significant score for mine as well.

Its listed in this long thread somewhere, or, you could just go to www.bigyellow.com and search the people pages for Kirk Presley in Mississippi. That is the addy I used. It's almost the same as the one posted on this thread, but the town and zip are different.

On the 99 Just how did you get Corey Lee to sign that? I saw him with Tulsa in '99 and Oklahoma in 2000 and even tried to get him to at least do the back and no dice. Does anyone recall who that actually is on the card?

LOL, after some convincing, I got Venafro to sign the card. Lee never did it for me, even with Venafro's sig on it.
chad mcconnell 15.15--from smatt's addy..took about 3 months
3rd time i've mailed him...1st all 30 cards of mine came back unsigned (in about 2 weeks) second time i only sent 7 cards, they came back signed in about a month (with a note asking for some extras if i had them) this time sent 13 of my own and 10 for him to keep
heard some people havnt gotten him back, so keep hope alive
I ain't what I used to be, but who the hell is?

Looks like BJ Wallace was arrested for killing another driver while driving drunk. Found it online a couple of places. Makes it harder to get his autograph

Kevin Higgins 11.11
Onyx Acceptance Corporation

Las Vegas, NV 89146
2 things about KH....
back in 1996, lowell got the spinners...me and my boy aj (graveline2) were pumped for the ny-penn action just an hour away...even though only a few teams had cards...we'd hit 3-5 games a year to nail the teams like pittsfield that had an appy team below w. team sets (as well as kirk pressley and jim rosenblohm) or if a big name coach came around (hudsen vally w. my 40 greg harris comes to mind)
any way, one year we saw kevin higgins was the vermont manager...so we packed up and drove to get our stack of padres cards signed by the ex-PCLer who had never made it east
however, it turned out to be another kevin higgins...some ex college coach w. no cards...so basically that was one trip down the crapper
2nd story...about 4 months ago i posted on TPA the story about dan walters being shot (any one hear anything new on this????) quoted in the article was former team mate and las vegas resident kevin higgins...it mentioned his buisness so i found it on whitepages.com, mailed out, and got my cards back pronto much like the terminator, i have become a highly trained line drive finding machine

i must share in your misery of the elusive kevin higgins...my hometown of utica, NY used to house the famed utica bluesox and one fateful night i waited a good 4 hrs through an awfully boring game just to find out from kevin higgins THE 2ND that he was not in fact the kevin higgins i oh so desperately wanted....damn him....glad you tracked the real mr. higgins down

got back another pawsox scab great...aubrey the jeep waggoner....however, he pilfered my 93 classic, so some one who has an extra of that card has to step it up and send me one before i post
also got
TOM SZIMANSKI 4.4 94 stadium draft mariners
6201 SNEED COVE
AUSTIN, TX 78744
1994 was a banner year for auto collectors...the stadium draft and sig rookies draft sets offered a plethora of cards of A ball players...however, has anyone else noticed how bad that draft sucked? other than nomar, both sets are devoid of any impact players...josh booty, paul wilson, antone williamson, ect all crapped themselves in the pros.
everything counts in large amounts

I went to a JC game around here and brought my Kevin Higgins cards with me since he was listed as the manager at one of the schools that was visiting. I didn't see anyone on the team that really looked like him so I asked one of the players to point him out for me. He points to some guy in his mid 60's coaching 1st base and I drove right back home :-/

Graveline- Thanks so much for the addresses. You are taking me back in time with all the old names and sets. I will put them to good use.
I checked my mail today...got back Jamie Borel from the 1996 Lakeland set...I mailed it in mid-December. HE SIGNED THE FREAKING SLEEVE, AND NOT THE CARD! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? And if thats not brutal enough...he used a 1st grade style fat marker. I am beginning to wonder if I had a bad address and some jack leg just signed it for fun. Does anybody out there have an address for Jamie? Thanks in advance.

Not exactly, bo or deon, but i found another 2 sport star...sam august, former astros minor leaguer (91 classic, 91 line drive, 92 skybox) is now a pro surfer...this should not be all that surprising as he is the son of legendary surfer robert august
on a side note two of my freinds here in NC are rabid surfers...the whole surf thang is eriely similar to minor league baseball as the people have their own little subculture. a lot of times we would be both on parrall computer, me on TPA, him on ncsurfreport.com
of couse, a lot more girls surf....
and autos have never enspired a peice of cinamatographic genius like point break...

hey adam just was wondering if you had any idea on the whereabouts of Tony Fontana (Sox 01-03). I found an address for an Anthony Fontana in Cleveland, zip 44134-6856. How should I go about trying to figure out if this is him or not?
Also just an FYI, the illustrious Scott Samuels from the previously mentioned Gomer Hodge Paw Sox set, has been someone I had never been able to get. However, yesterday I recieved both of my Paw Sox cards signed c.o St. Paul Saints, home to another ex Sox mler, Tonyane Brown. Just an FYI for those few Sox grapherss

in the past i used to do this exclusivly...over the 50 or so players i talked to only 1 ever gave me a hard time about it
now i just send a letter asking if its the ex-player and if its ok to send cards....i include a postcard, if that come back, out go the cards

So do you just say something like "Are you the Ken Griffey, Jr. that played for the Mariners and Reds?" And if they say yes, "Is it okay if I send some cards for you to sign?"
And another question.
Any players say they would sign and didn't?

Wiggins I believe is still bouncing around minor league ball (I think back in the Yankees org.). Vierra has been with the Newark Bears the past two seasons. Ortega has an address in Harvey's list but doesn't seem to answer auto requests.
