Is there any date that would be too early to send? I have quite a few letters ready to go, but I wouldn't want them RTS'ed because they got there a week or two before the player arrived.

I sent out about 10 today for pitchers that have to report by the 17th. Youk, Lester, Papelbon, and Delcarmen have already reported to Sox ST for anyone that's willing to take a long shot.

You are going to have one heck of a success ratio if you send this group.
On your Snider it really is a hit or miss. I sent him some cards in the minors before his major league debut, I think 10 cards, he signed like 1 or 2 and took the rest! hahaha. Then just this past season I sent him when he was on the big league roster and he didn't reply...I really think you should try Matt LaPorta he was great in the minors, I have been talking to him since his U of F days and sent him his USA cards when he attended...couple other good guys are Mitch Einertson (hit a then record HR total for rookie ball in 04) and twins minor leaguers like tyler robertson, parmelee etc, they are great at signing!

Ditto, I made that mistake a few years back. I kind of do a sit-and-wait approach to ST now.
