I have a question. If I want to email a Mexican team asking for a fanpack, should I email them in English hoping there is an English speaking employee there, or should I translate the email into Spanish on one of those free translation sites? I was just wondering.

The only problem with Translation sites is that they are full of errors i would try one in english and then try it!(GOOD LUCK)!

Yeah, definitely steer clear of translation sites. They might appreciate the effort and will probably get what you're trying to say, but to them it will look like a first grader wrote it.

Got a couple today:

Houston Astros sent

Craig Biggio card
Lance Berkman card
Sticker
Schedule
Pocket schedule

Chicago White Sox sent:

US Cellular Field Pamphlet
Southpaw (team mascot) appearance thing
Brian Bowles card
Form letter
A sheet of paper with all the signitures of the Sox on it (preprint, of course)
2005 tentative schedule
A big team magazine...wow, some teams really put a lot of effort into their fanpacks!

Note to fellow fanpackers:

If you want to email minor league (especially lower minor league) and indy league teams, ask for a fanpack or a couple pocket schedules, because many (if not most) don't carry fanpacks. I got 7 emails saying that they don't carry fanpacks, or they don't have 2005 pocket schedules yet (which means specify that you want 'last season's pocket schedules' or whatever) or they will only send pocket schedules via SASE. I was slightly disappointed today, but I guess that's what you get for emailing teams that aren't hugely popular.

Yesterday I got 3 pocket schedules from the Florida Everblades. Today I got 5 pocket schedules and a magnetic schedule from the Charlotte Checkers. Both are ECHL teams.
