What did you get today - hockey edition

Starting out with a hockey section that will one day hopefully rival the baseball one (not likely, but dream big)

There is no "baseball one". It's for all the successes you get...

I checked it with Chris, he said it was ok.

Bobby Orr occaisionally signs through the address of his company - he is a hockey agent, you should be able to google it to find it.

I have actually never tried Orr TTM, successes with him are pretty spotty though.

Today brought Ron Hextall 1/1 for my set c/o his home address in 2 weeks.

Just curious, as I've never done hockey TTM before. Do any of the big name players such as Roy sign ttm?

Roy and the very top tier of stars are tough - most become fairly good signers once they retire. I think compared to some other sports, hockey is pretty good for getting big names - Lecavalier, Iginla, St Louis, Richards and guys of that ilk are very willing signers.

Hopefully with the lockout ending, players will be trying to get the fans back into the game, so more guys will be signing.

Martin St. Louis has signed in the past? I might have to try to get him when the season starts, he became one of my favorite players after the last Stanley Cup. Maybe I'll try to send out about 10 when the season starts to see who I get back. What time would be a good time to start sending to players through their team?

Hockey players are great signers. Orr does charge for his sig. Leafschik how is the pro set going? I am just starting the SCORE set from the same year. I would what til Sept. to mail any current guys care of teams. As mentioned earlier the big guys are almost impossible throught the mail Roy's, Wayne (even though I saw a success here last week), Mario... but most of the HOF'ers are just great. I have sent to almost everone living in Canada and got almost everyone back (80 percent). Current player return percentages are way higher than any other sport.

Hockey is amazing, all of the stars of the game sign. I have 1 question, are the Joe Sackic and Peter Forsberg TTM authentic or stamped, ghostsigned, autopenned? My favorite hockey graph is my Bobby Hull autoed 8x10. He was my dad's fav. player when he was younger, my dad has a whole mess of signatures from when he was younger (ORR, Hull etc.) He was also good friends with retired ex Stars defensman Craig Ludwig.

Sakic is autopenned and Stevie Y as well not sure on Peter though. I am not sure I agree with the statement all of the stars sign. A lot do but not all
