Or not.

The answer to this question was on September 26, 2005. On this date, the New York Mets had Jae Seo, Danny Graves (who was born in Vietnam), Kaz Ishii and Shingo Takatsu pitch in one game.

Yes, he died in the winter of 1871-1872. The first player to die while the season was in progress was Al Thake, who died on the first day of September, 1872.

I remember hearing it on the radio like a year ago, but I froget who. My first guess would be Lou Brock, but that is just a guess. I tried searching online, but nothing. I am going with Lou Brock.
