Gone For a Few Days -- COLLEGE

For those who not know, I will be a freshman in college this year...

I will begin my move tomorrow morning and once I get settled in will have 3 open days before class starts on Wednesday. Gotta get the sick dorm room set-up with 2 flat screens, a PS3 and a 360, and all the computer electronics! Don't worry I will be studyin!

I may not be on here for a few days while I am out living the college life. And being that class starts on Wednesday and baseball on Thursday, who knows when I will be on.

Once I get everything figured out and a nice scheduled formed for classes, work, baseball, and working out I should find time to be on here!

-------------------------------

Also, just a little shoutout to BenB...if you are coming up to SJU for the River Falls game on the 13th (?), let me know.

Aren't most freshman dorms really small and crappy? lol might be tough to wire/find space for all that stuff.

ALL dorms are small and crappy, not just the freshman ones. lol

I probably won't go to SJU for the game. Our football team is horrible, as you will find out when you watch them...

Haha, it must just be Wisconsin schools then...

I wish I had pictures of my old dorm room, it was pretty bad. They were 11x15 feet and fit two people. Each person got a bed, a crappy desk attached to the wall, a dresser, and a hard plastic chair. To get more space you could loft the beds and put the dresser in your closet...but then the closet was unusable. There was also a tiny minifridge with a freezer that didn't work and couldn't hold anything bigger than a gallon of milk. The walls were made of big stone bricks and the floor was not carpeted. Everything in these rooms was dirty, worn, and full of tackholes.

As far as bathrooms, there was one for our entire wing, which was about 30 guys.

Needless to say, I moved out as soon as possible. I have a deep appreciation for my apartment now. lol

I got to go with Ben on this one lol. My cell...I mean dorm was about 15x15 but was just a big concrete square. My roommate and I stacked the beds and the dressers....luckily they were the long flat kind and my roommate was 6'7" so he could reach the top ones lol. Our mini fridge doubled as a TV stand too lol

At the school I go to you get the choice of the rooms you want...I chose a 2 bedroom apartment style, with a big common room. I have 3 other roommates, who I all get along with.

We have a 50 inch (Not sure of the exact dimensions, but it's about that), a 42 inch, and a 26 inch TV...Two 360's, a Wii, and 4 speaker surround sound (Not sure if you even wanna call it suround sound...It's still VERY loud)

Heres a photo:

Be sure you and your roomate(s) keep that door locked. That kind of stuff tends to sprout legs if/when word gets out that it's there.

I would pay money to see a 360 sprout legs in person.

That's the thing. You never actually see it happen, but they can just walk right out of your room. They must really be Transformers or something.
