Umm, the goal of the minor leagues is to develop players for the majors. If the majors need them, they go. They may well be back anyway...

Did I say it wasnt??
There really isn't/wasnt a need to bring either one of them up right now. Sept 1st was right around the corner and both would be getting their call ups then anyway.

I know players get 3 days to report (or maybe it's 72 hours--I'll have to ask), so he could be there any time between now and Saturday night/Sunday. I really don't want to make a 3-hour drive to Harrisburg if he's not going to be there.
