1-2 tonight up to .344 for Wieters...and Arietta went 6.0 innings 1 hit, 2 BB, 5K's 0 ER and is down to 1.86 ERA. sick #'s even with his one HORRIBLE start in April:

Arrieta Started agian tonight and had a Bad outing by his standards, only 6.0 Innings 2 ER, 5 Hits, 0 BB and 8 K's picked up the win to go to 3-0 on the year

Matt was Named Carolina league Player of the week for last week...AGAIN! In other notes, Jake Arrieta was also named Caroliina league PITCHER of the week for last week as well. First time in last recent memory the Keys won BOTH in the same week.

Wieters 1-2 with a Walk and and RBI, left the game in the 6th inning with an injury (not sure what yet) not too serious as he stayed in the dugout after he left, he did NOT leave the field to go to the trainers room right away. Will update when I know more. Also Arrieta 7 innings so far. 3 Hits no runs....

Wieters jammed his left wrist while sliding across the warning track in front of dugout trying to block an overthrow that got by the first baseman. He went down and tried to do a normal feet first slide to block the ball, except the warning track did not give like I think he thought it was going to and just kind of stuck in it. Somehow his wrist got jammed in the process. He went to clubhouse in the 8th inning and came out with a bag of ice on his wrist. Luckily it was his non signing hand!!!!!!

Thanks for the update. Radio guys had no idea what was wrong, or how serious. Looks like he'll get a few days off being they have 2 other Catchers and no need to rush him back.

OK...been busy this week, just looked at today's Box score... 1 for 4 and his BA dropped to .349, so he's had a good few days to pull the BA up that high!

his A-ball career ended tonight, much like it began... 2-4 with his 15th HR.

ended A-ball with a pretty solid line: .344, 15 HR 40 RBI

through his first 21 games in AA...he's hitting .368 and 12 walks... 3 HR, 9 RBI
