Thread: elpaso's 2012 American Association IP

I had to work every weekend in March and April for El Paso CC baseball and softball.
So, what do I do today, but go to the El Paso Diablos try out camp.
Some of these so called players must like losing $75.00 for their fantasy camp in the sun.
Anyway, I got 21 cards and one baseball signed.

This is the 52 year old Tony.
Looks great and he is serious about playing.
I asked him if he would sign when finished.
Said he is not doing an autograph show.
Stated that I only had 8 and he reply that is an autograph show.

The Diablos will start their spring training next Sunday, May 6th.

Opening series Fargo @ El Paso (May 17-20)

Fargo had a practice tonight (May 16); got the heads up from the GM. Jim and I were the only collectors there. Tomorrow is opening day, a morning game at 10:30 am with thousands of children. I got home and had six more packages/envelopes of cards. Those players that I got tonight, I will not ask tomorrow, but let Ralph and his son Matt get them signed on Friday or Saturday.

As nice as it sounds (having had an indy team near me in the past), I would put put with the occasional attitudes of the Carolina League by far.

Game 2 – a good night with 71 total autographs – after the game, you could go on the field to get autographs for El Paso players and then fireworks
