Thread: Cal Ripken, Jr. Book Signing

Went to Cal's book signing in DC on Monday after being warned by the locals that he would not be signing any outside items. I didn't mind, as a signed Cal book for a total of $18 was still a great deal. As usual, Cal was great - very talkative, and taking posed pics with everyone who wanted one. He told the people who asked if he could sign an outside item to wait after and he would "knock it out" if he had time at the end. True to his word, after he finished about an hour later, he signed 1 outside item per person for the 10 or so who waited. If you have never been to a Cal signing I highly recommend it. He seems to really like meeting his fans and engaging with them.
