Day 1 Friday, October 7 (Disappointment)
Gates opened at 2pm for a 4pm game.
There was a program for sale at $1.00. However, it was useless because of so many roster changes, names and numbers.
Obregon was getting on the field around 2:30 pm. Working on them, got with Mario Mendoza Jr. and he told me who didnt make the trip. Some of the Mexican players could not come to Tucson because of papers.
By game time I had all of Obregon done except for Victor Diaz, as he only did one page.
Mexicali didnt get on the field until 3:30 pm. So nothing for them
Between games they had all four teams on the field along with a bunch of youth teams that came from Mexican.
Game 2 Padres-Hermosillo
I was only able to get the Padres before the game.
After the game I went to the left field tunnel where both teams came out, but they all went out from behind home plate.
Well needless to say, things would have to change for day 2.
