Toledo Mudhens @ Pawtucket Redsox

Just did post game today, was there for an hour and change and had a great quality day with some decent numbers. Was hoping to finish up what little I had for Toledo. Willis snuck out and took a taxi so didn't get him. Danny Worth ignored me going onto the bus and I missed Wilkin Ramirez getting Clevlen, ugh. Still did well though here are my totals:

Toledo
Mike Hessman 1/1
Brent Clevlen 1/1

Pawtucket
Clay Buchholz 1/1, 1/1, 1/1-Triple dipped Clay, guy was doing everything in sight, finished him off too.

Daniel Bard 1/1
Michael Bowden 1/1: Tossed a one-hitter last night, era is down to 1.00, got a nice future ahead of him and he is the nicest guy on the team.

Kris Johnson 3/5, 2/2: Gave me such a dirty look when I went back again, but I got to finish him off.

Sandy Madera 1/1
Jeff Corsaletti 2/2
Chris Carter 1/3
Jose Vaquedano 9/9
Chris George 1/1, 1/1
Charlie Zink 1/1

Total: 28

Buffalo Bison @ Pawtucket Redsox

Did pregame for about 2 1/2 hours and it was easily my worst outing of the season. Hardly anyone stopped to sign today for either team, in fact not one Bison signed coming off the bus, everyone pretty much walked a b-line from the bus to the locker room. Will be heading back tomorrow morning to see if I can get my stuff for Buffalo done.

Highlight off the day was picking my my 50/50s from Alex (AMF), and another grapher here is what I got from 50/50s:

Tommy Hanson signed 08 Justfiable
2x David Cooper signed 8x10s
2x Dustin Ackley signed 8x10s
1x Alex White signed 8x10

Jeff Corsaletti 2/2: Glad I got these last 2 done as he was traded to the Pirates today.

Iggy Suarez 4/4
Michael Bowden 2/2: Usually a strict 1 per but I offered him one of his 09 Goudeys and he said if I could get 1 to him later that'd be good so I guess as a thank you he did the 2 I had.

Total: 14 (8 from graphing and 6 from 50/50s)

oh and Papa John's: 1/1 cheese pizza........waiting for the bus made me hungry

Buffalo Bison @ Pawtucket Redsox

Better luck today with Buffalo, was going to due pre and post game but it was raining pretty bad this morning so just did postgame and had some nice successes. Eddie Kunz was a terrible mood though as he blew the save in the bottom of the 11th and gave up 5 hits and walked the game winning run home. From what I heard from people who were at the game he was toss'n everything in sight in the dugout and after the game looked miserable. John Niese was waiting for about 10 minutes for a taxi and ignored me and a few others who were calling for him. Other than that did well and pretty much got who I came for (F-Mart):

Pawtucket

Michael Bowden 1/1: Starting pitcher, went 8 shutout innings w/7ks lowered his era to .86, he is tearing up the IL. Caught him sneaking out after the game.

Kris Johnson 2/2
Chip Ambres 2/2
John Otness 3/3
Chris Carter 1/2

Buffalo

Kyle Snyder 3/2: signed one of my Jon Switzer cards on top of the two I had for him
Jon Switzer 1/1
Fernando Martinez 12/14 (10/10 cards, 2/4 8x10s)

F-Mart's graph has never been something to ogle over. But the ones he gave me on the 8x10s are even worse, especially since he didn't really push down on the sharpie so it isn't as bold as I would have liked. None the less I did get him and I'm lucky he didn't smudge any as he is known for that.

Buffalo Bison @ Pawtucket Redsox

Kevin Youkilis was making his 2nd and final rehab appearance for the Pawtucket so I headed down to try and get him and finish up what I had for Buffalo pre-game. Including me there were 3 people waiting for Youk. Rick tells us that Youk plan to come in with his wife and kid so they can watch the game and come in by the owner's box so we kind of hang around down there which is away from where the players park and the team bus comes in. We see Rick zooming by on his cart and we pretty much follow him around McCoy for a good 15 minutes or so. He then heads up the street near the back gate and 5 minutes later he comes in followed by a black Toyota SUV with Youk driving. So we figure he will pull into the gated lot, but no Rick whistles at us and points for us to go near the locker room entrance. He has Youk pull in right at the door and Kevin gets out and signs for the three of us and was nice about it. Very happy about this one, made the trip worth it.

Kevin Youkilis 1/1 SS ROMLB

Pawtucket
Michael Bowden 1/1
Javier Lopez 1/1
Travis Denker 2/2

Buffalo
Eddie Kunz 2/2
Johnathan Niese 5/5: He was a jerk on Sunday postgame but was great today. Has a nice graph too.

Scranton/WB Yankees @ Pawtucket Redsox

Did pregame yesturday, bus came kinda early so that was nice as I didn't have to wait around. Was there for like 2 hours so it wasn't bad. Didn't do so well with either team, and this Scranton team is brutal, missed Austin Jackson coming off the bus as I was getting my ball out from my bag and apparently he was the 1st one off so he walked right in without any one calling him over. Anyways here are the numbers:

Pawtucket
Kris Johnson 1/1
Michael Bowden 1/1
Marcus McBeth 2/2
Charlie Zink 1/1

Hunter Jones 0/2: Big leagued us, before anyone says a word he walks by us saying "Yea I'll try and get you guys later"

SWB Yankees
Mark Melancon 2/2: Very nice guy, hasn't changed a bit from last year
Casey Fossum 3/3

Total: 10

SWB Yankees @ Pawtucket Redsox

Did pregame again, was just looking to get Austin Jackson today and came away with a few from him. Stuck around for an hour and 1/2 so once again no big numbers but definitely got some quality autos. Scranton guys are a piece of work got turned down by Cox, Miranda, Duncan and Kroneke coming off the bus otherwise still a nice quality outing.

Pawtucket
Chris Carter 1/1 (help)
Michael Bowden 1/1 8x10: Wanted to ball him (...again) but couldn't find my pen so had to settle for doing him on an 8x10. Also I'm out of Bowden stuff again and can take 50/50s for him (ROMLBs and 8x10s only).

SWB Yankees
George Kontos 2/2: Heard horror stories about this guy with Trenton this year but seemed nice, guess the promotion helped.

Mark Melancon 1/1 SS ROMLB: "Your name sir?" Hope he pans out as the Yanks closer of the future

Austin Jackson 1/1 SS ROMLB, 2/3, 1/1

What kind of horror stories had you heard on Kontos? I've gone to Trenton games the past two years in New Britain when he has been with Trenton and he was always an incredibly accomodating guy.

Couple guys who saw him in Connecticut this year said he blew them off, cursed at them and was just a flat out jerk on more than one occasion.

Wow, i've never seen him like that. He was always in a good mood whenever I saw Trenton and he seemed to be in a good mood last night when he was walking up to chart. I guess all people have those kind of days though.

or that Colin Balester doesn't become a 20 game winner right?
