Judas Priest and Black Sabbath

Graphed before the concert at the hotel yesterday.

First hotel we went to had Black Sabbath. We were there maybe 20mins when Tony Iommi came out with a black haired woman. As we were getting up to approach him she pointed at us and told us no. We sat back down and she came over to us 5 min. later and asked us if we wanted anything signed. We gave her each one item a piece and said we wanted the whole band. She came back 10 mins later with everything signed with the exception of Dio as she said he was not with their party.

We left the hotel and followed another tour bus over to another hotel and out comes Rob Halford of Judas Priest. We easily got every member of the band when they were heading to the concert. Everyone except Halford and Tipton took pictures with us.

Black Sabbath 1/1 drumhead
Judas Priest 1/1 Rocka Rolla Album Cover

We never found Dio or Motorhead. Next up is Steve Winwood and Tom Petty tommorrow.

I went to the Winwood-Petty show in Arizona last Thursday. AWESOME show!

I had an all access backstage pass, and I had ZERO chance of getting Petty. He goes into the building like 3 minutes before the show starts, and the entire band leaves within 90 seconds of the bus leaving.

Trust me, by the time I walked out the backdoor of the arena to my car, Petty's bus was flying up the ramp to leave, and I left about 2 minutes after they left the stage at the end of the night.

I did meet other members of the band, along with Winwood.

Man...reading all of these great music successes makes me wish I lived closer to the downtown area. Post some pics of the Priest if you can. How was Steve Winwood? He's a legend as well.

I met Winwood as he was walking off the stage when I was backstage...got a pic with him. He told me that I "looked very official tonite". I have no idea what that meant..I was wearing jeans.

Then I saw him later on by chance, he shook my hand and told me that he'd see me soon. Again...I don't know who he thought I was, but it was pretty funny. He came across as a good guy...and definately would have signed if I had anything for him.
