4/1- San Jose Giants had an open practice today so I decided to go and check out how the 08 team looks. Didn't have much that I needed signed, but came away with

Tim Alderson 1/1 SS GU CAL ball w/ 07 First Round Pick inscription

First home game of the year for my San Jose Giants. Got a tough L today unfortunately, but graphing was good.

Quiet night tonight, I didn't have a whole lot that I needed signed.

I felt kind of bad getting Doolittle so much, but this guy is one of the coolest guys I've met. He doesn't sign at all before the game anymore, but will sign anything and everything after the game.

Also, got a GU bat of Matt Sulentic after the game. They lost, so after the game he took one of his unbroken bats and started smashing it against the wall, then threw it madly into the trash. After he had left I asked Archie Gilbert if I could have the bat, and he gave it to me. Got Matt to sign it after he came out of the clubhouse and had cooled down a little haha.

He went down the third base line again, near the VIP deck to see his family. I met up with his Dad who saw my bat, and he said to just come on the VIP deck with him. Lars was nice about signing it after he got the chance to talk with his family, it turned out great (considering his somewhat illegible auto haha).
