Iowa Cubs @ Memphis

Another PCL team that doesn't come out before the National Anthem if they aren't playing. Most guys who did come out didn't sign pregame and the rain after washed out post game action.

Iowa

Hector Carrasco 0/8--"I'll sign tomorrow."
Jason Dubois 4/4
Josh Kroeger 2/2
Pat Listach 2/8
JR Mathes 5/5
Eric Patterson 0/3--flat out ignored us
Felix Pie 0/3--see above
Randy Wells 1/1

From the "you got some nerve" department:
After the game was called, some guy went to the beer garden and grabbed one of the huge umbrellas from one of the patio tables. He then proceeded to walk out with his family under the umbrella. Security was too busy kicking the autograph collectors (all 4 of us) out of the stadium to notice the guy stealing their umbrella. Must be some poetic justice here but we were all amazed the guy actually made it out the gate with the umbrella.

Ha ha! I'm glad I decided to sit this one out, although it might have been worth it to see the guy with the umbrella. If patterson is there next time they come, I might go just so I can sit by the dugout and lament how much corey sucks big monkey balls, and how much money I lost investing in his memorablila. Maybe I can heckle eric with "Hey Eric, I need you to sign this because I already sold it on ebay!" Or maybe I should call him corey when he is in the on deck circle.

Heh. Corey can't even keep a job in AAA. Eric, he's a pretty good AAAA player.

Figures. I knew that was bound to happen when the security guards were so worried about those dangerous autograph collectors.

A little better night with the I-Cubs but still some guys who didn't stop. This was also the second of two season ticket holder picnics with the Redbirds players in attendance so my Redbirds (except for Thompson) are all pre-game and the Cubs were postgame.

Redbirds
Bryan Anderson 2/2
Jamie Garcia 2/2
Chris Duncan 3/3--Left with his bags after the game. Bridger asked if he was going back to St. Louis and he said he was. That's all I know for the moment.
Cody Haerther 2/2
D'Angelo Jimenez 5/8
Mark Johnson 3/3
Clayton Mortensen 11/11
Mike Parisi 10/10
Josh Phelps 2/8--Did ask which two though.
Colby Rasmus 4/4
Brad Thompson 3/3
PJ Walters 9/9
John Wasdin 8/8

Iowa
Justin Berg 2/2
Andres Blanco 0/2--wouldn't stop or acknowledge us
Jim Brower 1/1
Hector Carrasco 8/8--Missed Murton and Hill getting him. Figures.
Sean Marshall 3/5--no dupes
Eric Patterson 2/3
Felix Pie 3/5
Carmen Pignatiello 4/4
Andres Torres 0/9--was with Blanco and also ignored all requests

Funny thing is all these "dangerous" autograph collectors are season ticket holders.

You have to advertise with the Redbirds or walk with a limp to get any special treatment as a season ticket holder in Memphis. Gee Ringer I thought you had things figured out by now!

Warm afternoon at the Zone. Last shot at Iowa until August...

Iowa
Jose Ascanio 2/2
Andres Blanco 0/4--dude, what happened?
Andy Cavazos--didn't see him at all today. He pitched Monday night so where is he?
Koyie Hill 9/9--OK BRIDGER, you can't say you haven't gotten him now.
Micah Hoffpauir 0/4 "I'm not signing today." This one threw me for a loop. PLUS he was called up after the game. Listach must preach against signing or something.
Rich Hill 6/6
Josh Kroeger 2/2
Matt Murton 1/6
Eric Patterson 0/3
Felix Pie 0/3
Andres Torres 0/6--He and Blanco must be deaf. Neither of them have acknowledged any requests in three days.

You may have a shot this weekend due to floods in Iowa. Someone told me the games vs. Nashville were being played in Memphis.

Weird how quickly he flipped the switch. After seeing him last weekend I was thinking he was one of the nicest players I'd ever seen, very talkative and was just looking for more stuff to sign.

I'm just now getting out of bed and have an appointment with my therapist this afternoon. Good thing I'm still out of work because I'll need weeks to recover from the emotional trama Andres has inflicted on me. Good thing that Chris Bosio finally signed for me last night in Jackson otherwise I'd have to go back to the hospital.
