Erie @ Akron

SanFran22, my wife and I went down to the ballpark today to get some sun and graph. Beautiful day, but autographs are getting rougher.

Before the game.

Tom Brookens 2/3 2/3
Lucas French 2/2
Jeff Frazier 7/7
Andrew Kown 7/7
Will Rhymes 2/2
Wilkun Ramirez 1/1
Daniel Worth 3/3 (Marker Killer)
Juan Cedano 2/2 (was doing 4 per)
Glenn Adams 0/6
Ray Burris 0/1 "Gave me the speech on how people are profiting off of his cards being sold on EBAY and Google and he does not want to make anyone money if he is not going to get a "cut of the action". I told him he could personalize my card. He has done that in the past and does not want to do it anymore. He said that he would be more than happy to sign anything else I might have. I told him it was not fair that he was punishing me for the sins of a few people and he told me, and this a quote, "You can hate me. I do not care. I will just have to live with that". And with that, my conversation with Ray Burris ended.

After the game:

Nathan Panther 8/8
Wes Hodges 2/2 2/2
Tony Arnold 1/1
Josh Rodriguez 1/1
JD Martin 1/1
Chuck Lofgren 0/1

Jon Matlack (Detroit Rover) 5/5 signed in Aeros parking lot

But Burris will sign an 8x10, a baseball, etc etc...gimme a break. What does a Ray Burris signed card go for these days? I'm betting not much. Give him a quarter and tell him there's the piece of his action and see if he'll sign then.

Wow I can't believe Burris has gotten that bad. When I saw him in West Michigan last year, he gave me a lecture of how it is not right to use little kids to get all your cards signed. He still signed my 1 card I had but he was not really pleasant to deal with. Sorry to see you did not get Burris....

There are a few auctions that ended in the last few weeks for Ray Burris autographs. Not a single one got a bid but it's good to see he's putting a stop to this now before those profits get out of control.

You don't want people making more money off shipping than the going price for a Ray Burris autographed card.

good to see i'm not the only one he shut out this year! He's been in Bowie twice so far, and I have only ONE card (a 2007 West Michigan Team set card) both trips (at least 2 games EACH series) he's snubbed me. One time spending 2 minutes explaing to the 2 of us htere why he didn't have the time! (he could have signed the 2 items and been gone in less than 10 seconds!)

You know, its gets to a point where I dont even really WANT a Ray Burris autograph anymore....or Mike Marshall...or whoever is going to give me a lecture. Also, I love how so many "people" are making money on Ray Burris signed cards on "ebay"....where are these "people".....and what parallel universe does he live in? Can I visit some time?

I got a semi-lecture this weekend from Bryan Dumesnil when I handed him 8 cards....I mean, isnt Bryan Dumesnil lucky to be playing baseball....IN ANY LEAGUE. Released by the Dodgers, released by the O's, signed with a freaking indy league, and now with the Braves by the grace of God.....

Good grief....anyway, I told him flat out that if he did not want to sign that many cards, that would be ok...I was not going to lose any sleep over it. So he signed them all.

LOL! Outstanding...be sure to point out the ZERO bids next to the .99 cent asking price. If you could get that on film, that would be a great youtube moment.
