August 30- Orioles at Rays

I skipped the Lakeland game because of the rain to go the Rays game. It was James Shields figurine giveaway day. The two autograph lines were James Shields and Grant Balfour. On the Rays side Zobrist, Riggans and Jackson signed but I didn't need them.

Rays:
Matt Garza 1/1
JP Howell 1/1
Juan Salas 1/1
James Shields 1/1

On the Orioles side, Chris Waters and Ramon Hernandez were the starting pitcher/catcher so of course they didn't sign. Markakis came over to talk with a friend for a second and signed his kid's ball. I asked him to sign he said no then he left when more people came over to ask. Jim Johnson stopped to talk with friends but wouldn't sign. By the time Cherry, Sarfate and Cormier came out to the bullpen the umps were already on the field.

Orioles:
Daniel Cabrera 1/1
Alberto Castillo 1/1
Juan Castro 1/1
Adam Jones 1/1
Radhames Liz 1/1
Jay Payton 1/1

Denied:
Alex Cintron
Aubrey Huff
Jim Johnson
Nick Markakis
Lou Montanez
Guillermo Quiroz
Brian Roberts
Jamie Walker

Just a heads up to those who I still owe stuff to on 50/50s. I will be sorting them today and getting them ready to be mailed out on Tuesday. Any questions just ask.

Had a great but long season!

As far as football TTMs goes, I started sending them out back in April. The ones I've got back so far have already been posted. Where's yours? haha

More will go out on Tuesday once I look and see which players made the team and the practice squads. Some of the guys I sent to were cut yesterday so I'll be seeing some RTS's from teams unless they took their mail with them.

10-13-08 Tigers instructs

Yesterday I went out to Tigers instructs who were playing the Braves. The Braves bus had already arrived so the players were already on the field warming up. They played on the back fields because they are repairing the stadium. You can't really see the game much.

Duane Below was the starter and dislocated his pinky in the game so Brandon Hamilton took his place. I got him to sign a few before he had to go warmup. He said he was catching a flight back home after the game. Ryan Perry also pitched.

Alex Avila, Jay Sborz, Cody Satterwhite, and Cale Iorg were still there. Brent Dlugach and Scott Sizemore are there rehabbing from injuries. Rick Porcello has gone home already.

Not sure if Jason Heyward has already left Braves instructs but he wasn't there yesterday. Freddie Freeman went home last week after he cracked a rib. Gorkys Hernandez left instructs last week to join his Winter League team in Venezuela.

I won't be able to go but here's the Tigers remaining schedule:
Tues: HOUSTON 1pm
Wed: CAMP DAY
Thurs: HOUSTON 1pm
Friday: @ Houston 10am- Tigers camp breaks

Braves and Astros have another week of camp and will play each other.

Braves:
Jon Gilmore 4/4
Brandon Hicks 2/2
Cody Johnson 4/4

Tigers:
Casey Crosby 2/2
Brandon Hamilton 6/6
Scott Sizemore 2/2
