He did 9/9 for me once, but that was six years ago.

UCLA @ San Diego State:

Brandon Crawford 1/1

Tony Gwynn 1/1 Was complaining from the second I asked that he doesn't have time for this anymore and that he's not a player, etc etc etc. My gf got him on a ball and he asked if it was for her or me and she said it was for her (it was) and then he said "yeah yeah but he has you work for him sometimes right?" He signed both items extremely nice but just had to listen to a lot of attitude to get him. After he signed the ball, he yelled "anything else?!?" and I said no and thanked him again and he turned around and left.

Yeah, I don't get that. I dont get it; he's usually grumpy and singles people out, but he ALWAYS signs. Hopefully your girlfriend didn't feel too bad.

I had always heard that about him so I was kind of expecting it. I was hoping to get there right when the gates opened so maybe there'd be a crowd around but unfortunately it was just the two of us. My GF didn't care though, he was nice to her other than asking if she was helping me. He seemed careful to keep all of his barking toward me.

The pitchers all went out the other way before the game and it was too late and too cold post-game.

Nice numbers Matt. I was waiting for your latest post. No Duane Espy? I need about 40 cards signed by that guy.

I think I've got him before somewhere, I didn't have any left. I cleaned up on almost everyone I had cards of. Jared Lansford, Brett Anderson, Henry Rodriguez, and Trevor Cahill were either pitching or in the stands and I didn't try and I missed Mike McKenry on the Modesto side. Also didn't get Hector Gomez as he wasn't there but Jason Van Kooten was. I don't know if he's a replacement or not.

I think I read that Gomez was sent to extended ST. Van Kooten has been with Modesto the past 4 years or something. Yikes!

What's up with Engel or Papelbon? Didn't Engel limit you the first time? There seems to be a few guys with inconsistent limits?
