Fort Wayne Wizards @ Beloit Snappers

A crappy weather day with several smear jobs. Still managed to get some pretty nice cards despite the weather.

Fort Wayne:

Jeremy McBryde 1/1
Matt Teague 1/1
Steve Delabar 2/2

Drew Cumberland 26/26 Really personable guy. Signed for a long time with no limits.
Geoff Vandel 1/8 I was shocked at Vandel being 1 per but then the guy after me asked him if he could sign more and Vandel signed all 9 of his. You would think Vandel would realize I have the cards on the page, not for display but to get his autograph. Luckily I'll see him Sunday.
Kellen Kulbacki 17/17 Another really nice guy. Signed everything.
Yefri Carvajal 3/3
Brad Chalk 1/1
Jeremy Hefner 0/9 Signed only a little before the game, which was understandable since he pitched (it was raining too, so I did not attempt). He pitched a great game then proceeded to successfully ignore and evade graphers after the game. Hope I have better luck on Sunday.

Beloit Snappers:

Daniel Berlind 2/2

Drew Cumberland 10/10

Dayton Dragons @ Beloit Snappers 4/14

Dayton Dragons:

Got entire team on generic sweet spot cards
Scott Carroll: 36/tons (3 for kthudmon002000) Scott pitched last night so he did not sign until after the game. He probably would have signed everything I had for him but I did not have everything on pages so I told him I'd get him Wednesday. Extremely nice guy but don't try and sign him before a start.
Phillipe Valliquette: 11/11
Todd Frazier: 27/27 (4 for kthudmon002000) This guy is awesome! Likes to talk and sign.

Beloit Snappers:

Joe Benson: 2/2
Chris Parmelee: 2/4 Cards were all dupes. I was lucky to get 2.
Mark Dolenc: 1/1

Wisconsin TimberRattlers @ Beloit Snappers 4/18

It was a shocking night. Phillippe Aumont was signing pages of nine! After reading the Spring Training IP's this was a shock. He was a great signer tonight. Unfortunately, I planned for him being a crappy signer and did not have much for quantity. If I knew he would sign like this, I would have stocked up. Oh well I am certainly happy considering I thought I would only get a couple. It was also raining on and off all night.

Rattlers:

Danny Carroll 8/8
Phillippe Aumont 6/6

If they graded high they could be worth even more. Ultimately, they are for my personal collection anyways, so value is not the final concern.

Check out the following Snider card. It would take some real serious convincing, to tell me that this card would sell for more than a Snider unsigned refractor in a PSA10. I know the Hardy's are gold refractor's, which are a bit different but I think the idea holds true for all parallels. Just my opinion. I think it is an interesting debate. I think it parallels when collectors said that getting cards signed made cards worth less, which I think most agree now is not true.

Any other opinions?

If your signed cards are for your personal collection, then why would you need them graded? Grading cards is to raise the value of cards for selling purposes.

Believe it or not, some people actually like to get cards graded for their personal collection, but thanks for telling us why you get cards graded.

Midwest League All-Star Game

Wow is all I can say. An absolute signers dream! Only disappointing moment was not being allowed to access the East teams bus after the game, which was the team I needed to get the most. But when you see these numbers I have absolutely no legitimate reason to be upset. Each team signed for an hour and the numbers were not bad. They were all extremely nice, even Jarrod Parker.

Corey Brown: 18/18 18/18 18/18
Kevin Ahrens: 18/18 5/5
Evan Frey: 9/9 9/9 10/10
Charlie Kingrey: 18/18
Pete Kozma: 18/18
John Tolisano: 9/9 9/9 4/9 (Said he only had time for a few)
Brad Mills: 9/9 9/9 9/9
Edilio Colina: 3/3 cards, 2/2 logo cards
Travis Mortimore: 3/3
Ben Revere: 14/14
Jarrod Parker: 9/9 9/9
Chris Carlson: 10/10
Justin Jackson: 18/18 8/8 5/9 (Said he only had time for a few)
Jamie Richmond: 18/18 18/18 14/14
Brandon Waring: 18/18 12/12
Neftali Feliz: 28/28
Craig Italiano: 28/28
Andrew Lambo: 4/9 4/5

The rest of the teams I got twice on team logo cards.

451 total cards!

Burlington Bees @ Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 6/21 - 6/22

These totals were from two days. I purchased (6) Rattler team sets and got all the players still on the team to sign. I Also did a team ball for the Burlington Bees. Finally I got the following items:

Phillippe Aumont: 6/9 4/6 2/4 Phillippe has inconsistent limits. I would say that the more he recognizes you the less he signs.
Alex Liddi: 4/4 (2 for clarendon)
Mike Moustakas: 3/9 3/6 4/5 4/5 4/5 Seems to be signing few duplicates. The more variety on your page the more he will sign. Still a cool guy.
Nick Van Stratten: 4/4
Jamar Walton: 10/10
Sam Runion: 5/5 4/4 4/4 4/4 See Moustakas comments

Also got a broken game used bat of Dave Lough. I had him sign it in a silver Sharpie and write, "2008 Game-used Bat. Very cool.

Peoria Chiefs @ Wisconsin TimberRattlers 7/1 - 7/2

These were all acquired over two days.

Chiefs:

Ryan Sandberg: 1/1 SS ROMLB 1/1 SS ROMLB (Team ball- unfortunately Ryan grabbed my ball before getting on the bus and used the black pen in his hand. It is the only signature in black on ball) 2/2 SS ROMLB (the line was short and I asked if he had time for another and he grabbed it! He signed multiple items for many), 1/1 Rawlings Big Stick Bat. Did very nicely on Sandberg. This guy continues to be a class act!

20 players on team ball and team sheet

Jovan Rosa: 7/7
Josh Donaldson: 2/5 1/3 1/2 1/2 1/2 This guy really dislikes signing.
Drew Rundle: 9/9 9/9 9/9

Rattlers:

Phillippe Aumont: 4/4 (1 team card, 3 tristar pp) Never know what Phillippe will sign.
Denny Almonte: 11/11
Edward Paredes: 3/3
Keith Meyer: 3/3
Nathan Adcock: 3/3
Rob Harman: 3/3
Ryan Moorer: 3/3
Juan Ramirez: 3/3
Edilio Colina: 4/4
Juan Diaz: 4/4
Gavin Dickey: 3/3
