Steve Garvey had a signing at the new Upper Deck store. They provided an 8x10 photo for Steve to sign, but he would not sign outside items. There were not many people there (50-70) and they let you go back in line if you only got 1 signed each time. I went and got him 3 times. Also they provided a COA from Upper Deck.

Steve Garvey 1/0, 1/0, 1/0

Then something unique. They had an Upper Deck booth where you can make your own card. Out of all the jerseys they did not have a Dodger jersey. I was already wearing a blue Dodger hat, so I just ended up putting a Met jersey on, because it was blue. Then after they printed it, I signed it!

Not for trade or sale. Mets weren't too bad. Giants or Padres would have killed me, though.

How is that new UD store? I was wondering how long it would take UD or Topps to put out their own store. How are their prices?

Really bad. It was pretty small. Not much selection, but a ton of SUPER high end stuff (Lebron, Kobe signed jerseys and stuff). They didnt have many cards and the only ones I saw were 2007 upper deck baseball. Plus they devoted half their store to non sportscards (Magic, or whatever those things are called).

By the way Victor Sanchez is one the top hitters I've ever seen. He hit 2 home runs in his first 2 at-bats, and Long Beach State is a pitchers park. And he is only a FRESHMAN!

Today, there were tons of people at the Laker facility (ever since they got good again, "fans" have been flocking their place). However, I went to the Clippers practice facilitiy. And guess how many people were there? Just me!

Pretty easy, but pretty hard at the same time. Everyone came out within 5 minutes. There were 2 other autographers, but they didn't stop any players, until after I called over the two players. I had never gotten Robert Stock and Chad Krueter, so I focused on those two. I even got Robert Stock on my Super USC freshmen photo (previously signed by Jacki Gemelos, OJ Mayo, and Joe McKnight). He was pretty nice, but he doesn't have much of a signature.
