the dark knight

wow, so as a batman fan, i was excited. Batman begins was sweet, but the last time there was a really good batman was the first, and well that had joker, by the amazing jack nicholson. Batman 2 was good too, the otheres, eh not too much. This one, wow i never wanted it to end. I can't describe how good joker was played by heath. Im thinking about seeing this again tomorrow. Some people think the ending was a little off, but, it fits perfect for the 3rd one, and i can't wait. GO see it, a def. must, even if you somehow hate batman

Dark Knight....wow. Best superhero movie ever IMO. Ledger's Joker was dead on nailed. The hype is justified. They also did a very good job with Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent character. Just some really good acting, awesome visuals and a great storyline. Already in my Top 5 favorite movies.

Watchmen trailer looks great as well. Hopefully Hollywood takes notices and lets more of the comic book movies be made by comic book FANS!

Well I will start by saying I am not a huge movie go'er but I had some down time traveling in Australia so I decided to catch the Dark Knight......I thought the movie was terrible, albeit the joker did a GREAT job but I felt like they turned an hour and a half movie into 2 hour + movie and it just dragged. The were parts that were good and the stunts and affects were cool but the movie itself stunk.

Anyways just my two cents and it was funny watching the "mixed" reactions of the Aussie audience as they are pretty outspoken people

Here is the order of Will's movies I like the best now:

Anchorman
Elf
Step Brothers
Old Skool
Talladega Nights

Saw The Dark Knight a few days ago and wow....best Batman movie ever.

The movie ran a little long (2.5 hours) but that didn't bother me at all.

Heath Ledger should be automatic for the Best Supporting Actor award as the Joker. He is amazing in the role.

Everything from the voice (haunting), the limp in his walk and most noticeable the way he licked his lips was brilliant in the sense that he totally re-invented the way a villian should be played.

The Joker was the movie. Batman, Harvey Dent and others simply were there to fill time in between scenes until the Joker could come back.

Christian Bale plays a good Batman but it's a damn shame that Ledger won't be back to bring back the Joker. There will NEVER be anyone as good in the Joker role as he was. Jack Nicholson's performance as the famed villan looks lame and weak compared to Ledger's, it's that good.

Yea and Ledger was on the screen so much, he wasn't even really a supporting actor. I agree with everything you said about the movie and about Ledger.

I recently saw Vantage Point, Bank Job, and We Own the Night. (I tend to wait until they go on DVD, prices at the movies are aweful)

Vantage Point:
The movie really only covers a spread of 15-30 minutes in real life. It just goes through that time period from different VANTAGE POINTS, which makes it interesting.

Bank Job:
It was pretty good. Kind of predictable, but I like Jason Statham just because he was awesome in Transporter 1 and 2.

We Own the Night:
This is the second time I've seen this movie...I think the first time I wasn't really paying attention. But this movie is great. The special effects, the camera work, the acting, and the plot are all awesome. I definitely recommend it to those who haven't seen it.

I thought Aaron Eckhart did a great job as Harvey Dent, but yea Ledger upstaged everyone with his performance. I do think though, that if they do it right, they can get a good replacement for Ledger. When it was first announced Ledger would play the Joker, there were a lot of nay-sayers (myself included) but look how wrong that turned out to be. I'm willing to give the next actor a chance, but man, I sure wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

Rented 21 and We Own the Night today. 21 was awesome, just a great movie. We Own he Night was alright, I thought it was a little poorly put together. Still a decent movie, and the idea was pretty cool, I just didnt like the way they carried out the plot, it seemed too drawn out like you knew what was going to happen. I want to see Stepbrothers tomorrow before work.

Finally saw The Dark Knight on Sunday (it seemed like I was the only one I knew who hadnt seen it lol). Nothing much that hasnt already been said... I thought it was awesome. Sure it was a little long, but I never felt bored.
Gonna see Step Brothers this week. Can't wait. I'm a huge Ferrell fan.
