UD didn't bother airbrushing the helmet. Yeah, there's a very small bit of logo showing but it might be enough.

Might want to start saving for the Upper Deck bankrupty sale. Didn't have any money for the Fleer auction.
It's more than just the logos - the players are all members of the players union which works out the deals for companies like UD to use the players likeness. It is highly illegal to use a photo of someone for a commercial product without that person (or their reps) permission. So UD not only were wrong in not airbrushing the logos but using photos of players without permission since their agreement with MLBPA expired as well.

EDIT - I take that back, the box posted has the MLBPA label on it, maybe they thought it was OK because they still have an agreement with the players association but their MLB license for logos expired. Very odd they have one but not the other - must have gotten MLBPA agreement done before it was announced they'll lose their license.

I was just reading that UD's own defense attorney basically blasted the company, saying that it was cut and dry that his clients were obviously counterfeiting. That's pretty unusual.

I found packs and blasters at Target last night. They were sitting at the register next to the card section. Couldn't tell if they were being put out or taken off the shelves.

They owe MLB 2.4 Million already for unpaid fees from when they had a license - they owe upwards of 20K to several photographers - they have to pay the settlement fee with the other lawsuit they just lost - MLB is suing them now - the whole Razor thing. Amazing, heard several people are just wondering when the liquidation sale will take place.

I believe they were putting them on the shelves. I went to the Meijer by me today to see if they had some, and I was able to pick up two of those $5 jumbo packs. They DID attempt to hide the logos, but some of them (especially on their hats) you can see the logo clear as day.

i think they attempted to hide the logos, but they put no effort into airbrushing them.
