Info regarding cases of 2009 Tristar Projection blasters

I bought a case of these off ebay for a little less than $100, including shipping. 16 boxes, averaged out to about 6 bucks a box. Each box contains 4 packs of 2009 projections and 1 "bonus" pack of 2008 projections.

Each box is guarantees one auto, but the autograph is not in a pack. It is in a small manila envelope inside the box. Here is the worst thing- it is a 2008 Projections autograph, something I found very annoying. All 16 boxes contained 2008 autographs.

You were scammed. Someone gave you some resealed blasters from other packs from boxes that didn't contain an autograph. Mostly likely dealers looking for Heyward. What was the best autograph that you got ?

    This is what I bought... 2009 Tristar Projections MILB CASE-16 Box+16 AUTO $320 - eBay (item 230541623579 end time Oct-25-10 16:45:01 PDT)

The best autograph I got was Michael Brantley, Dustin Richardson or Blake Beavan. Do I have any recourse if I was in fact scammed?

I would contact Tristar for more information on these blaster boxes just to see if the configuration was right i.e how the autographed cards were packed out - were they in the envelopes or were they supposed to be in packs.

Depends. I opened two of those cases in the past year because of the price and all the autographs were in the packs with some boxes having more then one auto. This is why I dont buy blasters at Walmart and Target because people take the blaster home, open until they find an auto, and then reseal the boxes with unopened packs from other boxes. I had to return a blaster of Donruss Elite because it was filled with 1989 Fleer packs.. A while pack I bought 3 boxes of 2004 Bowman Heritage off of Ebay that didn't come in the orginal boxes. No auto's or game used cards at all.

I would atleast ask for shipping and half my money back.

Did you get any foil cards ?

No foil cards. The listing does say "factory sealed", so if Tristar reply states that they didn't issue them this way, then I have a valid Paypal complaint. I did just notice there is no Tristar branding on the plastic wrapping.

That is how the autos came in my boxes from Wal-Mart too. Only got 2008 autos as well I think that is how they were packed out.

That's how the 2009 blasters were packaged. If you read the box, nothing is mentioned about 2008 packs but it also mentions "5 packs of projections cards" without mentioning a year (if I'm remembering correctly).

The 09 Projections will be great for the PCL. Not knocking the purchase at the price but I balked when those blasters were at WalMart for $19.97 a box.
