Hockey Help

I am going to be doing teams that come to MN this season, I was just wondering a couple things, when do players leave the hotel for 7 pm games? Also what time do teams generally have morning skate?

Any other tips or pointers for doing the NHL would be great, thanks.

It really depends on the city and proximity of the hotel to the arena, but in general the bus will leave the hotel 2 to 2 1/2 hours before game time. It could be earlier if the hotel is further away and traffic becomes an issue. You need to take into consideration that some players will take cabs as well and can leave at any time, but in my experience the earliest players to ever leave were Paul Coffey, Bill Guerin and Jason Smith (Edm., Phi., Ott) and they all left about two hours before the bus, so as long as you're at the hotel by 3:45 or 4:00 you should see everyone on the team.

Most teams leave for their morning skate at around 9:45 or 10:00 in LA and Anaheim, but again, players will always leave earlier in cabs so I would suggest being out there by 8:30 - 8:45 to make sure no one slips out early.

Most of the guys walk in MN from the St. Paul hotel...there is a park they walk through so you should have multiple chances to hit them up. Good luck
