It does suck, and unfortunately, this hobby is always going to have a black mark on it and will be looked down upon by players/agents/etc. Quite frankly, there is just too much "potential" [and I say this in quotes] money to be made through a person's sig and that reason alone is enough to make someone not want to sign. We're lucky to have a decent amount of players that DO sign though, especially TTM...because fan mail is on their own time and they don't even have to read it.
