Rate Your Season

Now that the regular season is over. I would be interested in how everyone rates their year team by team.

I will rate all teams that I saw IP in Minnesota and add some details.

Twins B- I think they're easier on the road...
Nicest guys: Denard Span, Jason Kubel
Biggest jerk: Carlos Gomez

Royals B For a bad team, they sure aren't the nicest group of guys. They would be a higher grade if they were good. Especially how this last series of the year they blew everyone off that had asked them for stuff after the last game.
Nicest players: Mike Aviles, Ron Mahay
Biggest jerks: Alex Gordon, Ramon Ramirez, Jose Guillen

Indians A- They are in general a good signing team.
Nicest guys: Jamey Carroll, Ryan Garko
Biggest jerks: Travis Hafner, Grady Sizemore

White Sox B+ They are decent for being a good team.
Nicest guys: Brian Anderson, Paul Konerko
Biggest jerks: Ken Griffey Jr., Jermaine Dye

Tigers A- They are all gettable so they have a high grade.
Nicest guys: Nate Robertson, Curtis Granderson
Biggest jerks: Magglio Ordonez, Kenny Rogers

Rangers A Amazing good group of guys.
Nicest guys: Josh Hamilton, David Murphy
Biggest jerks: Warner Madrigal, Frank Francisco

Mariners B+ Most of the guys are cool.
Nicest guys: J.J. Putz, R.A. Dickey
Biggest jerks: Jose Lopez, Felix Hernandez

A's A All pretty nice, Crosby and Barton wouldn't be in the lower tier on most teams.
Nicest guys: Greg Smith, Justin Duchscherer
Biggest jerks: Daric Barton, Bobby Crosby

Angels D Waste of time to graph...
Nicest guys: Torii Hunter, Robb Quinlan
Biggest jerks: Vlad Guerrero, Garrett Anderson, Francisco Rodriguez, Gary Mathhews Jr., Kendry Morales, I can name many more....

Yankees F Another waste of time
Nicest guys: Johnny Damon, Dan Giese
Biggest jerks: Robinson Cano, Melky Cabrera, Mike Mussina

Red Sox F Yet another waste of time
Nicest guys: Julio Lugo, Paul Byrd
Biggest jerks: Dustin Pedroia, Dice-K, Josh Beckett, Jonathan Papelbon

Rays A- Great signers for a good team
Nicest guys: Shawn Riggans, Ben Zobrist
Biggest jerks: B.J. Upton, Jonny Gomes

Blue Jays B Pretty average
Nicest guys: Jason Frasor, Jesse Litsch
Biggest jerks: A.J. Burnett, Adam Lind

Orioles A- Above average
Nicest guys: Jamie Walker, Brian Roberts
Biggest jerks: Matt Albers, John Shelby

Didn't do a ton of IP graphing this year, pretty much all in AAA @ Columbus:

Columbus Clippers:
Nicest: Garrett Mock, Chris Booker
Toughest: Yurendell de Caster

Durham Bulls:
Nicest: Jeff Niemann, Gary Gaetti, Evan Longoria signed pretty good
Toughest: Joel Guzman

Richmond Braves:
Nicest: Brent Lillibridge, Brandon Jones, Chuck James
Toughest: ??

Indianapolis Indians:
Nicest: Steve Pearce, Neil Walker, Andrew McCutchen
Toughest: John Van Benschoten, Craig Wilson

Louisville Bats:
Nicest: ?
Toughest: Homer Bailey

Rochester Red Wings:
Nicest: Garrett Jones, Kevin Slowey
Toughest: Kevin Mulvey, Glen Perkins

Syracuse Chiefs:
Nicest: Davis Romero, David Purcey, Brandon League
Toughest: Adam Lind

Richmond was probably the best team, Rochester wasn't the greatest (at least on the day I was there)

LA Dodgers-B-
Nicest Guys-Joe Beimal
Toughest-Jeff Kent(only guy I did not get this season on team)
Everyone else is decent. After clinching, they got really harder (especially Kershaw and Maddux)but still a good team.

Arizona Diamondbacks-B+
Nicest Guys-Tony Clark
Toughest-Adam Dunn
Everyone is gettable and will sign at times.

San Diego Padres-C
Nicest Guys-The minor guys
Toughest-Jody Gerut
The team is on and off in signing. They for some reason still think they are NL West Champs.

Colorado Rockies-B
Nicest-Aaron Cook, Taylor Bucholz
Toughest-Willy Tavares
Well a very moody team but I got most of these guys this year except Tavares.

Cubs B A better team on the road, but most guys sign consitently at home
Nicest: Fontenot, Theriot, Harden, Reed
Biggest jerks: Lou, Henry Blanco, Cedeno, Wood, Edmonds (Fruity-dome is in a class by himself)

Giants A+ Pretty much everyone signed in the 3 days there, only Winn and Rowand were 1 per
Nicest: Lincecum, Zito, Velez, Burriss
Biggest jerks: Omar Vizquel (surprisingly), Winn, Freddy Lewis

Rangers B+Loads of talent, everyone but Hamilton signed at the hotel. Most were 1 per though
Nicest: Kinsler, David Murphy, Mike Young
Biggest jerks: Hank Blalock (signed but just a prick), Hamilton

Brewers D Not very fan-friendly, were piss poor by the AS break
Nicest: Braun (early in the year)
Biggest jerks: Hart, Braun (later in the season)

White Sox BReally easy at Wrigley
Nicest: Floyd, Masset, Hall, Thome, JD (couldnt complain, signed everything 2 days in a row)
Biggest jerk: AJ, Swisher (signed but was not very happy about it), Quentin

Marlins B Decent team overall
Nicest: Uggla, Waetcher, Mike Jacobs
Biggest jerk: Hanley

Braves B+ Missed the day Chipper signed, but got McCann and Francouer
Nicest: McCann (signed for a while), Ridgeway
Biggest jerk: None really pops out as a jerk, maybe Yunel Escobar but he took the bus so I cant really blame him for not signing.

Philles B+ Never saw Burrell or Utley but everyone else signed
Nicest: Jayson Werth (even though he skipped me about 10 times), Jimmy Rollins, Scott Eyre
Biggest jerk: Cole Hamels, douchebag

Favorite Successes: Aramis Ramirez SI, Ryan Braun, Tim Lincecum x26

Here is my list [from Los Angeles and So.Cal]
Nice in my book - signed without problems and/or accomodating otherwise.

Seattle Mariners D - Ichiro signed randomly a few but otherwise was on shutdown mode
Nicest guys: Jake Woods, Adrian Beltre, Mel Stottlemyre
Biggest jerk: Felix Hernandez [did sign on their last trip], JJ Putz [always on his cell, once he sees anyone approach him]

Oakland Athletics B - no real toughies on this team
Nicest guys: Huston Street, Frank Thomas
Biggest jerk: Bobby Crosby [access-wise]

Texas Rangers C -
Nicest guys: Marlon Byrd, Frank Catalanotto, Gerald Laird, Vicente Padilla, Matt Walbeck, Milton Bradley [when actually in the process of signing]
Biggest jerk: Didn't see Josh Hamilton once in-person, he apparently preferred to sign at hotels the first day and inside the stadium, but otherwise made himself hard to find...Brandon Boggs didn't seem to want to sign [the two times I saw him this season].

Los Angeles Angels D
- I think they're easier on the road...
Nicest guys: Torii Hunter, Mark Teixeira
Biggest jerk: John Lackey, Vladimir Guerrero, Garret Anderson, K-Rod, Gary Matthews Jr.

Minnesota Twins C

Nicest guys: Justin Morneau [only seems to sign over the dugout], Joe Mauer [signs over the dugout], Jason Kubel, Adam Everett, Joe Nathan
Biggest jerks: Justin Morneau [skipped over me], Carlos Gomez [signed first day, shut it down the rest of the series]

Chicago White Sox - don't think I saw them

Cleveland Indians B
Nicest guys: Most of the team signed when asked and Grady Sizemore signed when I saw him.
Biggest jerks: Masa Kobayashi, Jeremy Sowers [signed but seemed to glare at people for a moment, before doing so], Josh Barfield [seems like he is always in a 'rush' after the game].

Kansas City Royals
- don't think I saw them

Detroit Tigers B
Nicest guys: Miguel Cabrera, Ivan Rodriguez, Magglio Ordonez [signs once per series, remembers you on subsequent nights], Miguel Cabrera, Dontrelle Willis, Brandon Inge, Carlos Guillen [he runs with one pen], Edgar Renteria, Todd Jones
Biggest jerks: Jim Leyland, Placido Polanco, Marcus Thames, Andy Van Slyke.

Toronto Blue Jays F - this team was not a good signing team due to attitude and access
Nicest guys: David Eckstein, Dustin McGowan, Lyle Overbay, B.J. Ryan [surprisingly]
Biggest jerks: Scott Rolen [key is to get him at the ballpark], Alex Rios

Baltimore Orioles D -
Nicest guys: Ramon Hernandez, Brian Roberts, Luke Scott, Dennis Sarate
Biggest jerk: Aubrey Huff

Boston Red Sox D - access was a pain
Nicest guys: Mike Lowell, Jason Varitek, Manny Ramirez [horrible autograph]
Biggest jerk: Josh Beckett

New York Yankees D - access was a pain, though some who did some chasing got Derek Jeter and A-Rod
Nicest guys: Johnny Damon, Xavier Nady, Melky Cabrera, David Cone, Wilson Betemit
Biggest jerk: Robinson Cano

Tampa Bay C
Nicest guys: Scott Kazmir, Evan Longoria, Edwin Jackson, James Shields
Biggest jerk: N/A

Los Angeles Dodgers B
Nicest guys: Andre Ethier [weird about photos - he'll sign them, but sometimes he says he can't do so], James Loney, Andruw Jones, Chin-lung Hu, Chad Billingsley, Jonathan Broxton, Joe Beimel, Rafael Furcal, most of the team except the 'jerks.'
Biggest jerks: Brad Penny, Jeff Kent, Takashi Saito

Arizona Diamondbacks C -
Nicest guys: David Eckstein, Conor Jackson, Doug Slaten, Eric Byrnes, Orlando Hudson [signs everything you have at time, but doesn't like it when you double dip on him]
Biggest jerks: Chris Snyder, Robby Hammock [really]

Atlanta Braves D - I didn't get their big stars, though they signed at various points
Nicest guys: Mark Kotsay, Mark Teixeira, Chipper Jones, Brian McCann, Jeff Francoeur
Biggest jerk: Yunel Escobar

New York Mets B - I didn't think I did so well with the team, but many of their stars signed
Nicest guys: Carlos Beltran, Johan Santana, Carlos Delgado [not really, but at least he signed], Joe Smith, David Wright, Billy Wagner, Pedro Martinez
Biggest jerks: Willie Randolph, Jose Reyes

Akron Aeros: A-. Pretty good signing team. Mostly repeats this year, but a good team that had a lot of players with cards. Toughest were LaPorta and Lofgren

Cleveland Indians: D-. I only did them three times this year because they were that bad. No one was consistent, but when you got most of the guys to sign, they signed whatever you had. Nicest were Aaron Laffey and Jamey Carroll

Lake County: A. No one really had cards, but the guys who did (Ryan Morris, Rob Bryson, Aaron Holbert) always signed

Columbus Clippers: A. Most everyone on the team was great. Never really had any limits put on me except for Alex Escobar, Tony Batista and Jesus Flores. Everyone else I was pretty much done with early in the season and did not need to continue to pound them

Well this year was my first year of in person graphing I did the International League my home team being the Pawtucket Redsox. For the most part I was pretty pleased with my rookie campaign.Got really all the big guys that I could have gotten. And I did end up getting pretty close to 500 or so IP graphs this year and I averaged just over 20 graphs per outing in one of the tougher parks to do, so I'm pretty pleased with how my 1st year went.
