The sky would be falling however if Razor announced a $2,000 a pack minor league baseball card product.

The $2,000 a pack product is 'centered' towards presidents.

A $100 cut autograph product [which has been out already] is 'centered' towards various pop culture personalities.

What could you possible put in a $2,000 a pack minor league baseball card product ?

They are going to have to flood the market with cards to offset some of the draft pick signings.

Nothing is going to change. You will still a Bowman Draft Pick set with some players that never had a card, minor league team sets, Donruss Elite, Tristar along with the option of purchasing Razor.

The more sets the better.

Before we go crazy worrying the sky is falling and the IP autographing is doomed, we need to take a breath. The new Razor Draft Picks is a high end product. How many people buy high end products hoping that the card they get will be worth money in 10 years? People buy high end products are hoping for instant returns. Sure a Michael Jordan Dual autograph is great, but a how about a dual autograph of two players who have proved nothing? They may both be Hall of Famers of they both may never make it past the minors.

Donruss is a trading card company with a history and a following of loyal collectors. Still 2007 Donruss Extra did not set the trading card world on fire. Is there even going to be a Donruss Extra 2008?

IP Autographers have already over come certified autographs in every pack or box. Cards so glossy you could slide down them, because they are so slick. IP will survive.

I saw Jemile Weeks this past week and he also said he has signed with "Razor", he wasn't making a fuss about signing though and personalizing.

I can't wait for these guys to be personalizing those cards in the Atlantic League in the upcoming years.

I can spend $2K and maybe get a cut signature from Nell Carter!! Gimme A Break!...ROFL! However, I am personally very happy to see it's not a super-high end minor league set.
i pulled a NIXON 1/1..sorry OFF TOPIC..lol..peace

We should make sure no one ends up buying any shape or form of this product. I think the contract BS is just another way for agents to cash in......

My two cents...

Razor is another company that is ruining the hobby of autograph seeking and collecting. This can go either way but here it goes. Razor has to be the biggest reason why minor leaguers/prospects have become harder to get. Razor filling their heads with BS thinking their autograph is worth a lot. Fact of the matter is that it is not and if prospects have big heads in the minor leagues, imagine the major leagues. Razor is one company that is the cancer of autograph seeking and other hobbies. It is a cancer for autograph seeking in many ways including prospects personalizing cards(i'm not a big fan of personalization unless it means something. If it says "best wishes" or something along those lines, I believe the athlete is REALLY taking their time with the autograph while if it's just your name and their signature, I see it as a business thing). Luckly for nerds, they have not made Star Wars stamps a RAZOR exclusive with the special R2-D2 stamp for 100 bucks a sheet but for now I see RAZOR a company that wanted to screw somebody over and they chose autograph seekers. Thanks for reading.

I really don't see Razor making it as a company after two years. With all the money they are spending signing these guys, it seems to me that they would have to see a ton of product, and I'm not really sure who is going to buy it.

The average card collector isn't going to want pay hundreds of dollars for prospects.

I'm not going to want to pay hundreds of dollars for prospects.

i generally dont mind a personalization it makes me feel better about getting multiple items signed. i have been able to get multiples from hard to get players this way. plus i generally give a lot of my stuff to my little brothers so they dont really care that is personalized. granted most of these guys stuff sells for crap on ebay. i feel sorry for dealers who spend countless hours getting graphs and not being able to get much return for that time. well actually i dont feel sorry for them but what ever

Saw Brett Wallace last night and signed anything and everything that was put in front of him. Nice but not that talkative.
