Over the winter I had a bunch of people PM me about people taking 50/50s for the year then sending them back mostly if not completely not done. This is a pain and creates bad blood. A couple of words to hopefully avoid some of that this year.

Senders:

Organize your stuff and label it as yours.
Don't send 300 cards to someone you never dealt with before
Do a message boards search on the guy you are sending to. Most times the other member posted in the shoutout section.

Recievers

Don't take more than you can manage. It is ok to take some, get it done and take more later.
Don't do a big deal with someone you have never worked with.
Don't do a big 50/50 if you go to 1 game a month. You need to get to games regulary to make sure you can get stuff done.
It is not ok to take a ton of stuff for a member then send it back 6 months later unsigned. I know you sent the stuff back, but there is time and expense in putting a lot together and shipping it to you. If this does happen, the return postage should at least be on you and you will no longer be allowed to take 50/50s here.

Both

Work out the terms of the deal prior to shipping (Cards kept, prep work etc)
SASE is just that, do not send money for postage unless that is what is agreed upon
Make sure you are clear on a timetable
Know who you are dealing with, ask others if they have dealt with this person before.
If something changes let the other person know.

I just posted a thread in the Questions forum about Failed 50/50s... (one of which the items were purchased specifically for the 50/50 & the other member decided not to try to get graphs at all)....

Could you please chime in on it?

I just wanted to bump this up, since this is the time of the year that people start taking and doing 50/50's! Be smart and responsible!
