What is a 50/50?

A 50/50 occurs when one person sends another person a certain amount of cards to get autographed. After the recipient of the cards gets them signed, he sends back half of the cards to the original sender. Hence the term, 50/50.


Making a 50/50 Trade

The terms of a 50/50 are completely decided upon by the two people involved. Everything from who baby powders the cards, what color of sharpie to be used, who pays for postage, what the actual terms of the trade are if not an exact 50/50 split, and what happens if the recipient of the cards can't get any of them signed or just a portion of them signed. It is critical to ensure every detail of a trade is agreed upon before the trade goes forward. Posting the details of the trade in the Confirm Trades forum is probably the best way to keep a record of the exact terms of the trade.
