In this case I used a priority box to get his attention. I have had good success with that as it gets the players attention and if they are going to sign anything at all it will be that. I have heard of people coloring and drawing team designs etc....but I don't have the time. I have had successes also using the yellow bubble mailers vice the envelopes because the players are more likely to see that and grab it vice the standard envelope if they are only going to sign a few (IMO). I have also had quite a few not returned and it gets expensive if they don't return them so it is high risk vs. high reward.....

Yes, I am mailing from an FPO AP (deployed military base) and although I do believe it helps in some cases (with select retired players). I really don't think it helps with current players as I don't believe they look for that (nor do they have someone do it) nor have the time to sort through it. Also, I don't believe most read thier mail even if they do sign. Like I said, I was 0 for 2 with Randy before and they were both with the same address so the military had nothing to do with it. Again, the key is getting thier attention.

Sorry to tie up the thread with all this but best wishes to everyone and I hope this helps. If anyone has additional questions please PM them so we don't bog down the thread any further.
